Washington Hall is the oldest continuously operated government building in Colorado. The second floor has been home to the Gilpin County Arts Association Gallery since 1946, and the Gilpin Historical Society has their Tour Office on the first floor. In addition to the Gilpin County Justice Exhibit (which is free), tours of St. James Methodist Church, the Thomas House, Teller House, Opera House and the Weekly Register-Call Print Shop are available year round (the Teller House and Opera House may be unavailable at times during opera season based on their schedule). Open Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year round. Tours are $7 per person per person per building. Kids 12 and under are free.
