906 College Ave. NW: A 1948 Cottage-Style home
-
Built around 1948 for the Jackson family, this cottage-style home has oak flooring and heart pine flooring. Mr. Jackson worked at First National Bank of Atlanta. Another former owner was Elgie Hudgins who was a family member of Randy Poynter, former Rockdale County Commissioner.
The Carters have lived in this home since 1996. They have restored the exterior to the original board and batten style siding. They have added a master bathroom, third bedroom, and a half bath. They have completely renovated all other areas. All original floors have been restored.
The Carters have been told that a small plane, possibly a mail plane, crashed in the backyard. They were also told that there was a ballpark area and a swimming pool/hole in their backyard.
