Pitman Challenger League, part of and wholly supported by Pitman Little League, is Little Leagues adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.
All participating kids can register for free and receive a hat, shirt, and pants, courtesy of Pitman Little League.
PCL also seeks buddies, typically middle school or high school kids but adults are also welcome to help out. Buddies make sure our players are safe and having a good time. They run the bases with the players, help out in the filed, serve as public address announcers, coaches, and more. Buddies receive a hat and shirt.
Challenger League games last about an hour to hour and a half and are typically played on Sundays between April and June (about eight weeks total) at 2:00 p.m.
