Georgia Historical Marker: Rockdale County Courthouse

Sixteen years after the founding of the city of Conyers in 1854, Rockdale County was founded in 1870 from parts of nearby Henry and Newton Counties. The first courthouse was constructed in Colonial Revival style in 1898. The present day Rockdale County Courthouse was built in 1939. (Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
