Prep work for the Church/Water Streets Two-Way Conversion Project begins tomorrow in advance of Monday’s scheduled start of construction. There will be minor work and alternating lane closures on Water, Church and Main Streets between Bowman and Amador Avenues. In addition, Bowman will be affected. Residential and business access will be maintained throughout construction as the project was designed to have minimal impact on businesses and patrons. The alternating lane closures may affect RoadRUNNER Transit.
The first open house after the start of construction is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at the Las Cruces Museums, 411 and 491 N. Main St. Additional open houses will be held through the duration of the project.
