This building was completed just after the 1874 fire, home to a dry goods store operated by B.F. Pease. Later the property housed an undertaking parlor, the publisher of the Gilpin County Observer newspaper, and the Ignatz Meyer saloon. After prohibition, the property was home to the infamous Glory Hole Tavern, run by Emmy Wilson.
